Categories: [Americas]  [Costa Rica]  [Misc]
The first European conquistadores where mainly motivated by the lust of Gold. They thought Gold was abundant in the Western Indies and didn't hesitate to destroy admirable civilizations and to commit genocides in order to bring back as much as possible.
Fortunately, future Costa Rica wasn't part of a wealthy empire and escaped the worst outrages. Thus, some incredible artworks survived to this day, such as this shamanistic talisman.
