Costa Rica is a tiny country but hosts not less than a dozen volcanoes, most of them still active! Those are perfect places for forests to grow, sheltering an incredible fauna.
Here, the dome of Arenal, which was erupting from 1968 to 2010. Still under heavy surveillance...
