La Butte

The Montmartre Hill, sometimes nicknamed "La Butte" by the Parisian, is dominated by the Basilica of the Sacré Cœur and was once the district of Paris with the most vibrant artistic life. It hosted the studios of some of the world most famous artists such as Dali, Picasso or Van Gogh.
Thus, it is nowadays crowded with tourists. Fortunately, some less known streets still have a very Parisian soul. Check this previous post to get a view from the hill.
