Normande Cattle

Categories: [Animal]  [Europe]  [France]
It is told that the "Normande Cattle" was introduced in Normandy by its Viking conquerors 1000 years ago. If this legend is somewhat dubious, it is true that this breed has been present in the bocage for ages. It produces an excellent milk which is quite adapted to produce high quality cheeses, such as the famous Camember.
