Chianti Winery

Categories: [Europe]  [Italy]  [Landscape]
Tuscany is well known for its wines such as Chianti and Montalcino, so it is not unusual to cross vine fields when wandering in the region.
Viticulture was introduced around the 8th century BC, so Tuscan people had plenty of time to refine their techniques. Thus it"s no wonder that Tuscan wines, or "Toscana", are among the best in the world.
Nevertheless, I find that given their lack ot originality, a good Burgundy or Bordeaux still beats the pants off any great Toscana.
