Divine Sign

Categories: [Asia]  [Landscape]  [Sri Lanka]
Sometimes, at dawn, the Adam's Peak projects a perfect triangle shaped shadow on the surrounded hills. Triangles are symbols of perfection for Sinhalese Buddhists.
It is said that the place is blessed, for Buddha himself came here and left a footprint, still visible today ! Now wonder then that Adam's Peak is an important pilgrimage site !
