Icelandic Horse

Categories: [Animal]  [Europe]  [Iceland]
A lot of horses are bred through Iceland. Pony-sized and friendly, they are quite popular in continental Europe and North-America.
It is thought that they are the descendants of ponies taken by the first Viking settlers, and after centuries of natural selection, they are now perfectly adapted to the harsh climate of the country.
