Hunting Horn Players

Categories: [Concert]  [Europe]  [France]  [People]
Just before my journey in Central Asia, I attended a wedding taking place in an old abbey. Of course on such an occasion, I had my camera with me so I couldn't miss the main attraction which occurred during the drinks : Hunting Horn players !
Unlike "modern horns", the "hunting horns" lack any valve and is considered more "primitive". In France, they are used since the feudal times in what is called a "chasse à courre", involving dozens of dogs and horses.
I am not an expert about hunting so I don't have a clue about how they are used during the action.
